Art
Reches Lavan (‘the White Ridge’) is a precious strip of land, on the western edge of Jerusalem, Israel, overlooking a valley of ancient terraces. Its future is endangered by building plans, but right now it is a haven of untampered native plant life. These paintings grew out of my practice of hitbodedut (meditation) here. Being present with the weather, vegetation, insects and wildlife every day of every season makes me yearn to share what I can of the colour, the stillness, and the energy behind it all.
I paint with acrylics in situ, on the hillside. Some works have been developed further, by manual digital over-painting (without AI), along with the use of photographic references.
The paintings are available as prints on paper, canvas, flexible or rigid pvc, self-adhesive vinyl and other materials, at any size. Prices range from nis 250-500 for a print up to 42 x 30 cm (A3) on photographic paper. Some of the artwork can be adapted, typography can be removed or changed.
